DEL ARTISTA

LA RELACIÓN CON LA NATURALEZA Y EL MUNDO ORGÁNICO COMO PARTE INTEGRAL DE LO QUE SOMOS ES LA BASE DE MI TRABAJO.

Encuentro en esta relación con diferentes formas de vida preguntas y respuestas a intereses y preocupaciones personales. Mi trabajo explora formas y colores, así como procesos, ciclos e interacciones. Las adaptaciones para satisfacer las diferentes necesidades y condiciones ambientales de maneras sorprendentes son un punto de partida para nuevas creaciones y comprensión. Como bióloga y artista encuentro un lenguaje común que reúne estos mundos en la arcilla y la cerámica donde se funden naturalmente y ofrecen amplias posibilidades de expresión estética.

Las formas marinas y vegetales se cruzan e intercambian para dar a luz nuevas formas e híbridos, organismos microscópicos con cuerpos que cambian su forma se hacen constantemente visibles para nuestros ojos, y rastros de vida pasada y existencia que necesitamos decodificar a través de sus vestigios son algunos de los temas que desarrollo en mi obra.

La observación y el diálogo con estas formas de vida proporcionan un espacio abierto para que se expresen, sean vistos y nos acerquen a esa naturaleza e identidad compartida.

STATEMENT

THE RELATIONSHIP WITH NATURE AND THE ORGANIC WORLD AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF WHO WE ARE IS THE BASIS OF MY WORK.

I find in this relationship with different life forms questions and answers to personal interests and concerns. My work explores and searches for forms and colors as well as processes, cycles and interactions .Adaptations to fulfill different needs and environment conditions in amazing ways are a start point for new creations and understanding. As a biologist and artist I find a common language that bring together both worlds in clay and ceramics where they merge naturally and deliver broad possibilities for aesthetic expression.

Marine and vegetable forms cross and exchange to give birth to new shapes and hybrids, microscopic organisms with bodies that change their shape constantly become visible to our eyes, and traces of passed life and existence that we need to decode through their vestiges are some of the themes that I develop in my artwork.

The observation and dialogue with these forms of life provide an open space for them to express, to be seen and bring us closer to that shared nature and identity.
